Excellent situation near entrance to Iguazu Falls and next to bird park. Lovely grounds including nature trail down to river with humming birds and toucan. Pool lovely, Staff friendly. Nice place to relax after hot and humid days visiting the falls.
Insufficient food options at dinner buffet for non-meat eaters.
Beautiful settings and lots of facilities - more than I expected. You can walk to both the bird park and the Brazilian side of the Falls (five minutes).
Only one person at reception usually - so there was a long queue at checkout. Should have put another person on really at peak times.
Good lOcation, second best hotel in the area (including argentina)
They dont provide transportation from the hotel to' the park, its a short walk but it is very hot
If you are on a tight schedule this is perfectly located for the National Park & Falls as you can simply walk to the entrance just 400mts from the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel is well maintained. The hotel has a good pool, the gym is ok, equipment dated but you have lots of outdoor space to enjoy. Breakfast was excellent, consistentwifi connection & generally a relaxing hotel to be in. Easy airport transfers and as I was grabbing a week end visit whilst in Brazil on business, it worked perfectly for me.
I think the atmosphere in the bar could be more welcoming. Several guests preferred to eat in the bar rather than go to the restaurant for the buffett. Depending who was on duty made a difference to the atmosphere and service in the bar area.
The grounds were beautiful. The design of the hotel is also attractive and the rooms had attractive decor. You could walk to the park entrance and the bird park
The walls and doors were too thin and you could hear everything in the corridor and also between rooms. It was impossible to get a full nights sleep.
- Location excellent, walking distance to the Parque do Aves (Bird Park) next door, and the guest centre for Foz do Iquacu (Iguassu Falls) - all staff very helpful - the nature walk out the back very enjoyable - complimentary wi-fi was most appreciated
-The weather was cold, so were the lobby, bar, halls.... - room - small for the price - I can understand not wanting people to take advantage of the complementary breakfast to stock up for lunch and dinner too, but some way to take breakfast back to the room for my spouse, would be nice. Given that they take the room numbers as you enter the dining room, it should be possible to work out.
the grounds are lovely, we enjoyed the walking trail and pool, the staff were very helpful regarding any questions we had
the buffet dinner in the evening is VERY ORDINARY. i have eaten at the most simple Brazilian by the kilo buffets and the food has been 10 times as tasty with variety compared to San Martin. Even so there were some good selections like the beef and one night a chicken dish. I absolutely cannot understand why loud nerve jarring rock American music is played at the pool when there is such beautiful Brazilian music that I would much prefer.
The distance to the Falls is just perfect 5 mins walk
The requests for tips on every bill that you get when buying anything from a beer to dinner, I would suggest explaining that a double room can also mean a twin room here but this was rectified very quickly and efficiently by the staff, I would stay here again.
The staff and location of the Hotel are incredible. My wife broke her foot at the Falls and the staff were more than accommodating to her needs. The Tour Company, in the Hotel lobby, was so helpful making arrangements for all our activities. They also arranged for a chauffer to the hospital for my wife’s x-rays etc. He stayed with us all the time helping with translation and making sure all was taken care of.
We felt the cost of bottled water was excessive. To maintain the two liters drinking water per day that we need, and not including brushing teeth and so forth, it would cost over 100 R$. We would have appreciated the larger 5 liter water dispensers being provided in the room for drinking water. This would save the environment a lot of little plastic bottles as well.
good location, nice hotel, beatiful garden
lots of facilities (pool, hiking trails, tennis court, pool table, ping pong) and located very close to the park
The hotel is right next to the entrance to the Iguaçu Falls National Park and also to a very large and good bird park, showing local wildlife. It has a huge pool and leisure area with garden, forest walk and playing fields. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. The breakfast has a very wide selection of fruits, bread, cereals etc. including hot and cold breakfast options. The staff is very nice and helpful in any situation and will do their best to accommodate whatever problem/request you have.
Very close (real walking distance) from the entrance of as well the bird park as the waterfall park. 5 minutes drive from the airport. Fantastic options to walk and play for the children in the huge "garden".
It was known by us, but it is quite far from the City and Hydroplant
It has an excellent breakfast buffet. The location near the facilities of the Iguaçu Falls is excellent. The members of the staff do whatever they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. There is enough space to park your car. And nothing can happen to the car because it is in a protected environment. It is very close to the airport as well. The distance to downtown Iguaçu Falls is quite acceptable.
I understand energy is expensive, and it is clear to me that the hotel does not want to heat any rooms in which people are not being expected for a number of days. The night from Thursday to Friday last week was extremely cold - for Iguaçu Falls. It should be a good idea to heat at least a little bit when a guest is expected to arrive. Iguaçu Falls is, of course, in a warm climate; this is not Alaska or Northern Canada. Nevertheless, it is difficult to accept that there seems to be no heating at all at the reception desk or in the restaurant. There is no chair in the room, and that is rather frustrating when you want to do some office work.
The hotel staff were super helpful and friendly (And mostly spoke pretty good english), as were staff at the tourism company desk at the lobby. The facilities are excellent, great gym, beautiful pool, gorgeous surroundings, and such a short walk to the Iguacu National Park entrance.
Only downside is that the food at the hotel was pretty ordinary, but you can easily hop on a bus into town and eat at one of the bars there.
